Formerly known as Glitnor Group, this latest executive appointment follows the completion of a strategic rebrand for Malta-based LCKY Group.
Manning joins the new-look business from Light & Wonder, where he held the role of CTO and VP of engineering up until February 2026.
He spent nearly four years at Light & Wonder – his first gaming industry role – including a three-month stint as technical strategy director while based in London.
In this role, he led the engineering team through a complete transformation to a product-led delivery model while overseeing several new market entries.
Prior to that, Manning filled director- and head-level roles at Tecknuovo, Cherry River Consulting and Pollinate International, among others.
According to a LCKY Group press release, Manning is a specialist in scale-ups and digital transformations who will bring a fresh perspective to the leadership group.
LCKY Group CEO Richard Brown said: “Everyone at LCKY Group is absolutely thrilled to have Alex on board at what is undoubtedly a key moment in the ongoing evolution of our business.
“Alex joins us with vast experience of working in regulated markets across Fintech and iGaming, and this expertise combined with his exceptional track record for delivering smooth scale-ups and digital transformations make him ideally suited for the role of Group CTO,” he added.
Manning began his career as a technology consultant for Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) according to LinkedIn, followed by banking roles with Lloyds and HSBC.
“I’m very excited to be joining LCKY Group at a time when the company is laser-focused on building broader international resonance and appeal in core regulated markets,” said Manning.
“As new Group CTO, my number one priority will be building on the amazing culture that already exists within the group to create a high-performance environment where teams flourish, innovation thrives and each in-house brand gets the spotlight it deserves.”
